The alarm feature on Windows 11 is a useful tool that, as the name suggests, allows you to set an alarm. Follow this step-by-step guide to set an alarm on Windows 11.

To set an alarm on Windows 11, you can use an alarm clock online or follow this step-by-step guide:

  1. Find the Clock app
  2. Switch to the alarm tab
  3. Set an alarm
  4. Save the alarm
  5. Disable the sleep mode

1. Find the Clock Application

The first thing you need to do is find the Clock application. To do this, click on the Windows search feature (the magnifying glass) and type "clock". The Clock app should show up. Click on it.

2. Switch to the Alarm Tab

Switch to the alarm tab from the left menu. It is the fourth one from the top.

3. Set an Alarm

Now that you have opened alarms, you can set an alarm. If you have no alarms set, the app will show that you don't have any alarms. To add a new alarm, click on the plus icon in the bottom right-hand corner.

After you have added an alarm, you will need to edit the settings. Here's what you need to do:

Set the time

You can set the time of the alarm by either scrolling up and down using the arrows next to the hours and minutes or by typing in your desired time. Remember to also set the alarm to either AM or PM.

Set the alarm name

Below the time settings is an option for you to name your alarm. If you would like to give your alarm a name, then go ahead.

Check the repeat option and set repeat days

If you would like the alarm to repeat on different days, tick the checkbox saying repeat alarm.

Below this checkbox are letters indicating the days of the week. Make sure the days on which you want the alarm to activate are highlighted in green.

Set the alarm sound

Beneath the repeat option is a dropdown box that allows you to set the alarm sound that you would like. Choose your favorite sound.

Set the snooze duration

Finally, at the bottom, you can set the snooze duration. Open the dropdown box to choose your desired snooze time.

4. Save the Alarm

After you have finished setting your alarm, click save. This will save the alarm and automatically set it to activate.

After saving the alarm, you don't need to do anything more. However, alarm notifications will only show if the PC is awake.

5. Check the Volume and Sleep Settings

It is a good idea to check your volume and sleep settings before you leave your alarm to go off.

Make sure the volume is loud enough for you to hear the alarm. You also need to check that your device won't be asleep when the alarm is set to activate. Windows will not wake itself up to activate an alarm. Make sure that your sleep settings are set so that your device will not go to sleep before the alarm goes off.

How to edit an alarm

You will need to reopen the Clock app to edit an alarm you have already set. Once you have found the alarm you want to edit, click on it to open it and edit it according to the procedure for setting an alarm. Remember to save when you have finished.

How to disable an alarm

To disable an alarm, you need to open the Clock app, find your alarm in alarms and toggle the switch off. The toggle switch is located in the top right-hand corner of the alarm box.

How to delete an alarm

To delete an alarm, open your alarms and click on the alarm you wish to delete. In the top right-hand corner, you will see a trash icon. Click on this once to delete the alarm.

How to disable sleep mode

  1. Go to your Windows search box and type "Sleep".
  2. Click on "Power & sleep".
  3. Change the settings of both "On battery power, PC goes to sleep after" and "When plugged in, PC goes to sleep after" to "Never".
